FAQ

How does it work?

To book a session, first, fill out the contact form on the website. I typically respond within 48 hours to set up a virtual meeting with you. In this meeting, we will discuss your vision(s) and needs for the shoot. Once we have an idea of what you are looking for , I will send the contract over to you. Please sign that contract within 24 hours. To secure your time and date, a 50% retainer fee will be required.

How does payment work?

The 50% retainer fee and the remainder of the balance can be paid via invoice. The remaining balance is due seven days before the shoot.

What type of sessions do you photograph?

My personal favorites are maternity, couples, branding, and fantasy/cosplay shoots. I love to make mothers feel empowered and beauTifful through maternity shoots. I enjoy capturing the love between couples. I love bringing the vision of a brand to life. I am passionate about fantasy and cosplay. The opportunity to be creative and shine a light on creatives makes me happy. Although these are my favorite to shoot, I can do all types of sessions.

What's your editing style?

I would consider myself a lifestyle photographer. I believe in staying true to color, yet vibrant. I suggest styled poses and fun prompts to create candid moments to help tell your complete story through photographs.

We are awkward, help!

Awkward is fine so don’t worry! It is my mission to guide you and help you to feel comfortable throughout the shoot. I want to help you be worry-free so that we capture natural shots that represent you.

Are you LGBTQIA-friendly?

Absolutely! I want to spread and capture love and joy and that does not change based on who you love or how you identify. Everyone is welcome here.

When are you generally available?

I am available mostly on weekends with limited availability on weekdays. The best time to schedule a outdoor session is during the “Golden Hours.” This is when the natural lighting is the best. That is usually 1-3 hours before the sun sets and for early risers, sunrise until about 1-2 hours after. Studio sessions are available any time before 4:00pm.

What should I wear?

Besides having access to my client closet - Pinterest! Pinterest is full of inspo for your session. You can search for your theme or vision and find a lot of different options for what to wear. Here’s a link to some boards I’ve created to help inspire you!

Should I get my hair and makeup done?

Yes!! Getting your hair and makeup done professionally is highly recommended. Some sessions include this service, or I can send recommendations!

What if the weather is bad?

Being in Kansas City, the weather can be unpredictable. If it is raining, snowing, or severe weather, I will contact you ASAP to reschedule.

What’s your turnaround time?

Generally, your entire gallery will be available within 2-3 weeks. The fall season is busier so the turnaround is a little longer. Fall sessions can take 3-4 weeks.

Her vibe is so fun!!! I could tell she loves what she does as soon as I met her.
