A Watkins' Christmas Morning

When I think of the holidays, I think of family time, bright lights, wintry decorations, joyfulness, and so many traditions. This global pandemic has changed how holidays look and feel, but one thing that became even more important is spending time with family. We have learned that we should not take the ability to create new memories and find joyful moments with our families for granted. And if you get the chance to capture those moments, never miss that opportunity!

Tala Watkins did not miss her chance. Last fall, she reached out to me to capture Fall Family Photos of her family. A little later, she decided to book a second session for Holiday Family Photos. 

Working with Tala Watkins and her family was a big moment for A BeauTifful Space. Tala Watkins is the wife of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Sammy Watkins. It was cool that my little business was able to work with a reigning Super Bowl Champion. 

Capturing their holiday family photos also meant embodying the holiday spirit. Matching PJs, decorated Christmas trees, presents, lights, and holiday music set the atmosphere for fun photos. I find Christmas morning themed sessions to be sweet and casual. I enjoyed capturing the smiles on their two little girls' faces and the happiness that holidays bring to families. Holiday family photos can be a fun way for families to spend time together and freeze those moments in a picture that can forever keep their story alive. This session gave me all of the feels! I cannot wait for those Christmas mornings with kiddos of my own!
