A BeauTIFFul Space

Over the years, I have been blessed to do one of my passions in life, photography. Being a black female photographer in the Kansas City area and the opportunities it has continued to allow me has been a dream come true. But who am I behind the lens? I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a wife who is passionate and creative. I am ambitious and a dreamer with a lot of drive.  I love hanging out with my friends and family and just as much as I love being home with my husband, and our dogs, while playing the game. I find peace in my plants. I come alive whenever I have an opportunity to feed my creative side whether that is every year for Halloween, cosplaying, DIY house projects, or when it comes to my craft. I love photography and being able to capture special moments and make them timeless.

I have loved taking photos since I was little. When I was a kid, I would take pictures while on our family vacations. That love has continued throughout my life which led me to start A BeauTifful Space. For me, it was important to mix my passion and love with purpose. I find purpose in creating a space that provides equal representation to all people. I hate going to Pinterest and having to type “Black” couples or “Black” maternity shoots to see photos of people who look like me. As a black female photographer, it was important for me to create a space where everyone’s love and joy could feel welcomed and celebrated. I get the pleasure of capturing that through photography. Everyone should be able to have great photos of their moments at an affordable price whether it is a graduation/senior photoshoot, a big day like a birthday or wedding, or a fantasy/cosplay session. I am grateful, through A BeauTifful Space, I can provide that access.
